~*~*~*~*~*~*Chapter Three - Friend of Foe?*~*~*~*~*~*~

After the encounter, the citizens poked their heads from their hiding places. The wolf warrior smiled as she crossed her arms. She softly spoke, "Alright now, you can come out. The fool has been defeated." Many citizens sighef of relieve.

"We will hold party!" declared the mayor, "No! A feast--in your name, Silver. Everyone start preparing; we feast to night!"

"Mayor," said Silver,"Thank you." She turned on her heel and began to walk back to the quarters she has been staying at for the last few days.

One the wya back to her quarters, she felt a powerful aura nearby. So she suddenly stopped in her tracks and sniffed the air. With any luck, she would find some sort of scent that was out of place. Unfortunately, there was no scent except for hers. And so, she shrugged, there must have been some sort of scent. Her tail swayed back and forth, back and forth. She shrugged again and moved to the quarters. She stopped infront of a big, but medium sized home. It was wooden all around and it was
not really painted, and on the top there was sign hanging on it that said, "Guest Quarters".

The wolf had an undying feeling that she was being watched...but by who and why?

Later that night, the feast was very well. Every meal was cooked to its fullest extent. Steak, however, was the best they had. The wolf anthro had already ate five steaks which is alot. It seemed her stomach had a black hole. The citizens near her stared blankly wondering how a female can eat so much. "Uhm, Miss Silver?" asked a young boy whose brown eyes widened some, "How in the world can you each so much?" He blunk a few times tugging at the wolf's tail, trying to get her attention.

"Um, it's all skill, my dear friend! All in skill!" She grinned happily, grabbing another steak and she began to slice it up with her metal calws. The young boy backed away some, and was very confused. A overwhelming, yet dark feeling past through her whole entire body. It caused her to have a short, quickly glare. The wolf anthro just

shrugged it off and continue to eat.

She stood up and smiled happily at them, telling them all goodnight. She began to walk back to the guest quarters. While walking she began to home a soft melody. The melody seemed to have words to it. "A weapon sought for destruction, uprisings caused by humans. When all is lost, there will come a ressurection, where man will take over and all is found. Though the demons that were made won against each other and there was one sole survivor." said a male voice. The male voice was dark, but gentle. Yellow eyes glowed out from the darkness and they were staring at her. "Hello wolf," he said, looking a bit mischievious. He must have smelled her scent.

"What do you want and who are you?!" Silver growled, and as a reaction, her metal claws unsleathed. "Tell me why are you here and I may spare your life."

The male voice spoke with his gentle touch within his voice (though it was more of a hateful touch), "Ah, I was just so happening by...on a mission you see, and then I got a wiff of your scent. It is like no other..like a smell of a jewel perhaps?" The wolf's ears went back as she spoke, replying to him,"A jewel with a scent? Stop playing me with riddles!"

And out came a tall, male cat anthro. His fur was black and his muzzle was white. He had probably dark armor on but Silver couildn't tell because it was so dark. His yellow eyes continued to glow as Silver's lilac eyes shone in the little light that was there. The cat's yellow eyes had a tint of doubtfullness within them. "Doubtful of what?" Silver asked herself.

"You seem very rare---no, you ARE rare. You are the only one of my kind I have ever seen so far." the cat stated, taking a step closer towards Silver.

"One of your kind?" She asked, crossing her arms, "What do you mean, 'your' kind? I am a wolf and you are a cat.."

"Ah, but you are bidpedal, are you not?" The cat replied.

"Yes, as you can see..." her voice trailed off.

"Listen, you and I both know that you are not normal.." he started to explain until Silver cut him off, "And neither are you." He gave a sort of smug laugh, "Miss, you don't even KNOW if I am normal or not!" "So I can just tell by the way you are acting. You seem on edge."

The cat walked over to her..seeming to get a better look at her. He was curious. He lifted up his hand slowly and touched her face then he rubbed his thumb on her cheek some, "So.." The wolf blushed a little because she was never touched on the check before besides getting punched there,"What are you doing?"

"To see if this isn't a dream, " He stepped back a little and smiled a bit, "To see--to make sure I wasn't dreaming that I would be the only one like me."

"Oh..I guess we could be friends. I really don't have any fri---" The wolf was cut off by a gunshot that grazed her right ear. She beared her teeth at the cat,"YOU! You brought them with you didn't you?!" I thought you would be my friend!"

"Your...friend?" He asked but another gunshot rang out precing Silver in the arm. The pain didn't really bother her except she was bleeding. He growled and his ears perked up. He began to dash toward Silver to take her away from this.

The wolf growled and stood in a howling pose, with her nose pointed upwards. Then she began to howl. Silvery blue aura started to surround her, emitting energy. The cat stared, coming to a stop, wondering what to do. Silver looked up at him, then roared. She swung all the way around and from her mouth came a blue icy looking beam. The beam was being shot at her enemies. It nearly destoryed the trees but it was sure enough that it wounded the enemies hiding behind it.

A tranquilizer dart hit Silver's left foot and penetrated her skin, ejecting a sleeping solution into her. She turned around and there was the cat standing there. She beared her teeth at him and fell face foward but he caught her. He growled as his yellow eyes peirced through the enemy's hearts, making them very scared. The tree and bushed ruffled indicating the enemy had fled.
